Jordan and Mallory Combs

Jordan Combs

Jordan has a heart for foster kids and is starting to make it his life mission.  He and his wife (Mallory) have started a non-profit Light of Mine Ranch- Families for Foster Care.  The mission and idea is to provide a Ranch where families will live, where foster kids with thrive, learn, and have fun and enjoy the open spaces that a Ranch has to offer.  Growing up on a Ranch myself I know what Jordan is talking about, nothing like looking up at night and looking at all the stars, listening to the coyote’s yelp, the morning sunrises, and the stillness or quietness when you need it.

Jordan has a big dream and vision and they are starting small and working hard to make it happen.  In order to make these big dreams happen they are starting small by offering different services to foster families.  Date nights, throwing birthday parties, providing groceries or doing the shopping, or filling different needs and struggles that foster families struggle with.

Jordan and Mallory have know each other for 21 years, been married for 8 years, and right now have 6 kids.  They have 2 of their own, adopted 1 through foster care system in South Dakota, and currently are fostering 3 kids.  They have fostered over 25+ kids in their short time period of helping kids.

The need is great and many more families are needed to house and take care of these kiddos.  If you are ever interested in helping fostering children please let me or Jordan know and we will get you in touch with the right people and resources.

Bible Verse- Matthew 25: 34-45  34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
