SENIOR HIGHLIGHT

Meet Boone Biegler! He is the youngest son of Nichole and Bernie & recently graduated from Saint Thomas More High school. Boone’s plans for next Fall are to attend either Western Dakota Tech in Rapid City / Black Hills State University in Spearfish. His best advice so far is from one of his teachers, Mr. Tibor WoodCrosby;  “school and grades really didn’t mean anything towards being a better person in society. ” His advice helped me have a different view in the world. Read below to learn more about this bright young man Boone!

Q. Please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path? 

My current plan after high school is to go to trade school at Western Dakota Tech to go into HVAC OR Black Hills State University.

Q. Please tell us a little bit about your family. 

My family comes from a long ways of hard work to get to where they are at right now and above that we have over a hundred relatives so it is very hard to keep track of some cousins.

Q. What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community? 

I would say Culver’s and the Golden Phoenix are my most favorites.

Q. Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

I don’t really know because I think everyone is pretty interesting.

Q.If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why? 

Well if I could I think I would travel to Idaho because I like the views from the Tetons.

Q. What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

I would say one of my favorite movies would be the Accountant because it has a protagonist that fits the characteristics of a video game.

Q. What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher? 

I remember a teacher saying that school and grades really didn’t mean anything towards being a better person in society. His advice helped me have a different view in the world and the teacher was Mr. WoodCrosby.

Q. What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to? 

I listen to all kinds of music, but I would say my go to band would be Twenty One Pilots.

Q. If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch? 

I would say Andrew Mahaffey who is a good friend and I haven’t hung out with him for a while and I bet we would go to Culver’s.

Q. What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community? 

I would say that our community in Rapid City is very friendly and filled with nice people.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

I see myself living in an environment

Q. What show are you binge watching right now?

I don’t really watch a lot of shows but one that I would say I watch would be Regular Show.

Q. Favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar? 

I would say that my favorite month would be May or June because it is pretty much the start of summer. My Favorite holiday would be July 4th ..Independence day.

Q. Who inspires you to be better? 

I would say my older brother.

Q. If you could go back over your entire school career what is one thing you would do different?

I would probably try to have more fun while it lasted because over the years it seems like it went by so fast in the end. High school was a good experience to learn from and socialize with many people who are some of my non-separative friends.

Q. Who or what do you miss the most right now? 

I would say I miss a lot of interaction from my friends.

Q. What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over? 

I think I might just go out on a road trip.
